Beneath Driver Lane

Hidden down inside the old vault of the General Post Office, Beneath Driver Lane is a blues bar with a love for whisky.

Next to the entrance there’s a small room lined with whisky bottles; this is the Whisky Vault. Sit around the barrel and enjoy a tasting.

Boilermaker House

A boilermaker is a beer paired with a whisky, and that’s the specialty of Boilermaker House.

This blues-filled den has plenty of craft beer on tap,) and even a custom built cheese and charcuterie fridge.

Whisky & Alement

Home to over 1000 whiskies, Whisky & Alement was the city’s original whisky bar, opening in 2010.

Not much is given away from its dark facade, but inside it’s a cosy drinking den.

Whisky Den

One of the city’s smallest bars, Whisky Den is inspired by the ‘yokocho’ alley bars of Japan.

Settle into one of the 5 bar stools, and choose from 350 different whiskies.

Eau de Vie

Take a trip to the 1920’s with this super-hidden speakeasy. Ea de Vie is down Malthouse Lane, and has zero signage.

Instead, look for the lamp above the giant wooden doors. The cocktails here are impressive, featuring fire, liquid nitrogen and decadent garnishes.

Their back bar is filled with whiskies. Purchase a bottle and you can even store it in their whisky locker.
